Privacy policy

GolfSimPicker is a free planning tool run by GolfSimPicker in Illinois, USA. This page says what the site does with information. The short version: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies, and the layouts you build stay on your own device.

What stays on your device

Your room, gear choices and settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device so your work is still there when you come back. We never receive them. Clearing your browser's site data erases them.
A share link or layout code holds your layout inside the link itself. The part after the # in a web address is not sent to any server, so opening or creating one does not send your layout to us.
A floor-plan picture you upload to trace over is read by your browser only. It is never uploaded.
The light or dark choice and whether you have seen the guided tour are also kept in local storage.

What we and our hosts can see

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any host, it processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and to keep the site secure, and it may keep ordinary server logs.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or personal identifiers and reports page views and similar totals. We do not use advertising or retargeting trackers.
The typefaces are part of the page itself, so loading them sends nothing to a font company.
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and keep it as long as needed to reply and keep a record. The mailbox is run through Cloudflare Email Routing and a mail provider.

Links to stores

Buttons that say "View at PlayBetter" open PlayBetter's own site. They are affiliate links: they carry a code that tells PlayBetter the visit came from this site, and we may earn a commission if you buy. The code identifies this site, not you. Once you are on PlayBetter or another store, that company and its affiliate-tracking provider (GrowthHero) set their own cookies and collect their own data under their own policies, which we do not control.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.
We do not ask you to create an account or collect payment details. Purchases happen on the store's site.
The site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices and rights

Because we hold almost no personal information, there is very little to access or delete. You can clear the site's local storage in your browser at any time, and block cookies in your browser for the stores you visit. If your state or country gives you privacy rights, or you want something removed, write to us and we will answer. Browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control are respected automatically, since nothing here uses your information in a way a signal would change.
